Live Virtual Recess: A Playworks Coach leading a morning warm-up, a midday game, and an afternoon cooldown each day. MICHELSON 20MM Opens New Grant Period: Michelson Spark Grants. With the COVID-19 crisis severely impacting the educational space, the Michelson 20MM Foundation is launching a new round of the Spark Grant program on April 6th to fund work that supports students and faculty at this time. We will accept proposals via our updated RFP until 11:59 pm PT on April 27th or until our funds have expired.
Spark Grants is an innovative, just-in-time grantmaking process. Their vision is to introduce a process that can fill urgent needs for education organizations that are well-aligned with our Key Target Outcomes. We seek to fund highly impactful initiatives that would not be possible if they needed to wait through a traditional grant decision timeline. Apply here →
Covidcap.com is for any small business, nonprofit, enterprise, b-corporation, social entrepreneur or entrepreneur. Each resource has slightly different eligibility criteria. It includes grants, loans and other cash equivalents, like tax rebates or reduced fees. The list includes regional resources, national resources. and global resources that are or were available around the world. Duke University CASE i3’s Faculty Director, Cathy Clark, put the site together and has been getting help from others on the CASE team, students at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, and others. She released the site in a two-part LinkedIn article, quoting that there is over $14 billion of COVID19 capital relief listings. Each listing includes the location, host organization, a brief description of the resource, what level of capital is available, a link to more information, and detail about whether the offering is a list of more resources, and whether it includes grants, loans, equity, or cash equivalents.

Summer Internship Resource - According to an article in Forbes, What To Do If The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cancels Your Summer Internship, there are options for students to get more involved during the summer and especially within the EdTech community for assistantships and internships that are being offered remotely. StartEd Members, Paragon One, are helping companies manage remote intern programs in content, marketing, research, data analytics, and business development. Students can be hosted year round and are already working with companies and startups to take their outsourced work projects and turn into structured remote internships for students.
